THE SHOW
We had live sessions and interviews with REA, Lovepoint and Kaia Fincher, alongside tracks from Jungle, The Smiths, Little Simz and The Whitest Boy Alive.
The Actors in Brighton played host to another packed Radio BlahBlah session – three live acts, a room full of people who actually showed up to listen, and Guy Lloyd holding it all together with his usual mix of curiosity and chaos.
REA
REA opened the night with a sound that felt like a revelation – atmospheric, brooding, and utterly compelling. Tracks like “Henfield” and “2005” built slowly, layering atmosphere until the room was fully submerged in their world.
They didn’t play to the room so much as pull the room into their orbit. Atmospheric synths, haunting vocals, and a presence that commanded attention without ever demanding it. The kind of set that reminds you why atmospheric music still matters in a live setting.

Lovepoint
Lovepoint brought a different energy to the middle slot – dreamy, melodic, with harmonies that felt like they’d been crafted in a dream. Tracks like “Point Taken” and “Melt” built slowly, layering vocals and instrumentation until the room was fully submerged in their sound.
They play with the ease of a band that’s spent years figuring out exactly who they are, and it shows in every transition, every harmony, every moment they choose to let a song breathe. The kind of set that reminds you why dream pop still matters in a live setting.

Kaia Fincher
Kaia Fincher closed the live sessions with a voice that felt like it had been waiting for this room all night. Quietly commanding, she moved through originals that felt like confession – songs that felt like they’d been lived in, delivered with a voice that carries both fragility and steel.
Just her, a guitar, and songs that felt like they’d been lived in. No affectation, no performance for the sake of it. Just songs that arrive fully formed, delivered with a voice that carries both fragility and steel. The room went properly quiet, the kind of silence that only happens when someone’s telling the truth.
